itel City 100: Specs, Price

itel City 100 is the first of a new product line from itel. As expected of itel smartphones, it is an entry-level device. This means that you are not expecting top end features and specs. But it does show up with some interesting ones.

The first is the IP64 dust and splash resistance. The second is the old-school waterdrop notch. We thought we were moving on from that, but it looks like we were wrong. It isn’t progress, but it is interesting. Thirdly, the City 100 is a unibody design, and it comes in at a nice, comfortable 7.65 mm thickness. This is something you do not see in entry-level smartphones.

itel says this phone runs ‘Pure OS’, and it isn’t clear what this means, but we hope that it means it runs pure or stock Android OS: no custom user interface and bloatware. That will make for a smooth-running experience, if so.

itel City 100 has a decent 5200mAh battery coupled with 18W fast charging. While there are four memory variants in production, as at press time, it is available in Nigeria in only two memory variants – 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB.
